On Tuesday,
4 people from Boston Scientific came in to talk to us about the Step challenge.
Boston Scientific is a company that make medical devices for people all over
the world. Around 3,000 people from the local community work there. They
created the step challenge to help us be healthier. Keelin’s Mom, Marguerite nominated
us for the step challenge. To mark the start of the challenge we all received a
pedometer. A pedometer is a device that counts your steps. Every class chose an
individual goal and at the end of every week all the classes’ steps will be
added up to see how far across the world we can walk. 4th/5th
class chose to walk around the world. To achieve this we have to walk
26,664,000 steps (20,200km-1,320 steps in a km) by April 28th. When
we divide this by everyone in the class (including Mr O Connor) this means we
will have to walk about 784,235 steps each.
